This firearm, which is used by the Self-Defense Forces under the name "5.56mm Machine Gun Minimi", is a Japan-licensed model of the Belgian FN-MINIMI. It is a firearm that can fire the same ammunition as the main rifle Type 89 rifle, and is widely used in machine guns carried by ordinary units, as well as for vehicles such as light armored mobile vehicles and UH-1 door guns.
In addition to Japan's unique heat shield shape, we have reproduced in detail the parts that are different from the US military type M249, such as the pipe stock and trumpet-type hider seen in the early model Minimi. The feed cover and bipod can be opened and closed. Includes a plastic box magazine that holds 5 rounds of 56.200mm belt-link bullets.
